Updates

Heya!

Herald
I found some free time last night to update Herald with all the new rules and restriction and to fix up some of the links. I noticed that several links had gone down, so I've been trying to fix them; there is a page which is still in construction because of this.

So, feel free to take a look there and you might find something new and special which you might be included in!

Broken Wings
I've started on a new original story (There are no links to it from Herald) and I might be slower with the fanfiction updates and one shots I might toss out for you to read. Those you are part of the "Exclusive offer" on LiveJournal are welcome to read and comment the first part. The story is only a baby at the moment and still needs a lot of care and attention before it fully matures.

Fanfiction
I'm still writing Pets from an Alien Race, don't worry, but there is a rule which you'll find on the Herald about the posts of each chapter.

General
In general update? Well I found I had a flat tyre yesterday, so I had to get on my knees and jack the car up. Never would have thought my car was that heavy! I then changed the flat to the spare - only to realise the spare was slightly flat too! OMIGOSH! So Grumpy G opted to pump it up...he deflated it accidently. So using a foot pump, I pumped the tyre up again to at least I could drive it to the nearest petrol station for air. The nearest is about a mile away... It's soooo great living in the countryside... NOT! So my car had its tyre changed and filled up with air (I filled all five tyres).

Best thing I saw yesterday?

Time to Celebrate!

After 5 tries and 4 fails, I have finally passed my driving test!
Yes, I am now able to legally drive my car on my own around town and everywhere! Having passed my test now means that I can go home early and sleep in late on school days with frees! Hurray! My car is also now in full use and is no longer sat around eating my money!
Only thing left to do is to sort out the insurance and then I'm fully mobile!!
Hehe!
I can now look for jobs and now seriously think about getting a horse for share/loan!
Hehe!
I'm so happy!

Another week end gone bye

Yep, it can be depressing when you stop on a Sunday evening at 19.44 and then think, "Wow! Where did my weekend go?"

Another week flew by so fast that before I knew it, I was working a late night shift again at work, phoning my best cousin to say happy birthday whilst in a card shop, and then dolling myself up to go partying for my good friends' 18th Birthday in town. And then waking late on Sunday morning - 11am - and having this aching feeling (from dancing and swaying until 00.10am) and tiredness stalking me all afternoon (bearing in mind I was forced to play Halo 3 with my sister for 2 hours and having to put a couple of loads of washing on and tidy my room from the aftershock of make-up and hair stuff)

So now that I'm fully awake and mobile, I've realised that I only have a little bit of time to actually "chillax". Although, Saturday night's party was absolutely brilliant. I know that you've got to go out with the right crowd to have a great time (I've been put off going out with friends because this one crowd just went out to get drunk and vomit....not my ideal scene). So, telling my sister and my mum my night activities got them in shock - "I rode a bull, thought about pole dancing, danced on a stage..." - let's just say they thought I was going to stay in one dingy pub and get drunk.

So clubing aside, I've realised that I lost my Friday evening as well! And I thought I was going to have a great chilled out afternoon and evening, especially since I got home early from Sixth Form and the sun was still shining. Yep, I got home, got out some cushions, got a big bag of crisps, made a chilli dip, got my biology notes, and layed on the deck sunning myself whilst making some biology notes, and muching on some crisps. Not bad eh?

Of course, my relaxing afternoon soon drew to a close as the sun went down a bit, and a cold british wind starting cooling my now baking skin. I come inside to find myself blind and get changed to go to work which I accidently arranged when I rang up to check my shifts - Oops! So at 17.30 I leave the house to got work for 18.00 at the hotel I work at.

I must say though, the service went extremely smoothly and quickly, considering it was a very large banqueting event - ITS awards. Nothing much happened really, except that it was late night...and I had to have a drink with my General Manager.

I didn't have a drink with him because I wanted to, but my mum is the Human Resources and Accounting Senior Manager at the place, so my ride home was having a drink with him, so I had to join them. Me, I'm terrified of him. We're also giving a lift home to my best friend, and she has no fear of him as she only worked a few shifts since the new General Manager joined, so she can casually sit and drink with him. I, on the other hand, found excuses to talk with the bar staff I knew, and to stand away as far as possible, but still close enough that I was with them. SCARY!

I had my last driving lesson on Saturday, so hopefully I'll be driving after my test on Wednesday. Passing my test is my only goal now. I really need my licence to drive....my poor car is just sat on the drive chewing up insurance money and MOT money and Tax. It needs to be used! The only good thing is that my No Claims is low and that my rate is only going up by about £380! So my Insuarance will only just reach £950! Not bad at all!

Well, I've blogged enough I believe.

So see ya!
